Ceiling Fans in the Winter

Ceiling fan in the winter need to spin clockwise on low speed.  If it spins any faster you’ll start to feel a cool breeze. This creates a gentle updraft that helps move warm air trapped near the ceiling back out and around the room.

How to tell Ceiling Fan Direction

While standing from underneath your fan, if you do not feel air movement, the fan is spinning clockwise (winter). If you feel air movement while standing underneath your fan then it is definitely spinning counterclockwise (summer).
